Welcome to Inked Skin by Steph! As a local nurse, I wanted to make an impact on people’s lives outside of the hospital setting. Insecurities and self esteem issues are a real thing. As someone who has struggled with this, I wanted to do something to help others feel better about themselves. Many people have not heard of inkless or camouflage tattoos, as well as saline tattoo removal/lightening. Let me explain… While the inkless scar camouflage technique is commonly linked with the word “tattoo”, this treatment does not use any pigment. It does, however, make use of tattoo needles and tattoo machine that perform a two-fold function. First, needling causes controlled trauma to the treated area which breaks down the scar tissues and encourages the body to send blood and nutrients to that location. This process encourages the skin to produce more collagen and natural melanin. Second, inkless camouflage makes use of a mix of serums, which are injected into layers of the skin during the process. These products are chosen to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, which, create a smoother, firmer skin. The process forces the body to produce exactly what it needs to plump up depleted cells and rejuvenate the texture and tone of the skin. It also encourages the production of melanin which gives your skin its natural tone. Saline lightning and removal is done by using a non-chemical, non-acid, high salt based, fruit seed extract, saline tattoo lightning solution. This is effective and can lighten a tattoo or permanent make up procedures, and in some cases, to the point where they are no longer visible. It works through osmosis. The saline is tattooed into the skin. During the healing process, the saline pushes the ink towards the surface of the skin. As a scab forms, the ink pushes out.
